First Time Attending Counselling?

Nowadays, finding a counsellor can feel a bit like scrolling through online dating apps trying to connect with a picture/bio that makes you feel like it's someone you might connect with - connect with them enough to open about feelings, emotions, stories and situations that you yourself may or may not want to acknowledge or sort through.

Recognizing that the first time we try anything can be a bit of a mixed bag (fear, excitement, nervousness, uncertainty, etc.) I want to try and offer you a space that makes getting into the uncomfortable as comfortable as possible.

My goal is to offer you a place that is all yours. A container that feels like you can safely enter into and we can discuss anything and everything. Someone that holds space while working through your hardships, heartbreaks and heavy moments that life can offer while also creating space for lighter moments, love and looking for solutions.

In our first few sessions, my goal is to get to know you and understand you. What brings you to come to see me and understanding more about what you've been through that's brought you here. I'm never trying to work an agenda - I'm not here to tell you what you should or should not do. Instead, I want to help you figure things out; to understand yourself better, to sort through the things that have happened/are happening around you, to you and inside of you.

That being said, every counsellor is different. In turn, I encourage that you make sure that whomever you see is someone that feels like a good fit for you.

If you have questions or would like to book a question - feel free to reach out to me here
